Lacy Diamond Earrings
Sharon says she learned the art of tatting thanks to another Trillium Center member and artist, Michelle:
"Michelle showed up at work one day wearing some really cute earrings. She made them! She took an online tatting class. She immediately thought of me because I like knot tying, sailor's knots and macrame.
I acquired a tatting shuttle and thread and started learning. I find it very meditative. It also satisfies my need to create and challenge myself, because there's always more to learn.
The lacy diamonds just appeal to my mathematical mind. Being creative gets me out of my head."
As with all of the artisans on Trillium's Hope Store, Sharon will receive a portion of sales. The other portion goes to Trillium Center, to continue sharing the good news that "Hope Works" and recovery is possible from mental illness or other mental health concerns.
